For sports bettors in the populous province of Ontario, legal sports betting is good news. Fantasy sports bettors can anticipate exciting news in the upcoming weeks as sportsbooks like Draftkings prepare to enter the market. The most well-known fantasy sportsbooks in North America and Canada are Draftkings and Fanduel.
Fanduel is currently one of the most popular sportsbooks in Ontario. Even though the bookmaker hinted that Ontarians might soon have access to it, Draftkings has yet to formally begin operations in the province. However, there are difficulties with daily fantasy sports in Canada due to operator costs and legal issues.
Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) have experienced incredible growth over the past few years, and this growth doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. We’re going to use this article to find the top daily fantasy betting sites online. Originally developed as an alternative to online betting, the industry now competes directly with sports betting.
The benefit of DFS is that many sports fans have participated in it at some point. Daily fantasy sports are as popular as ever, whether it’s an office NBA league or a group of friends scheming their way through the most recent PGA Tour event.
It’s online that has allowed the industry to go to the next level. No longer is it just a case of picking a handful of players for a game week and instead, you can choose head to head, points spread, player ratings, individual player matchups and so much more.
The number of DFS betting sites is increasing as more businesses begin to compete for a share of the market. In this article, we’ll highlight the top daily fantasy sports betting sites and provide you with all the details you need to choose the one that’s best for you.

- DFS Guide – How to Play Daily Fantasy Sports
Due to two major operators choosing not to offer daily fantasy sports within the province’s regulatory framework, Ontario’s planned market for online sports betting may be causing some liquidity issues for daily fantasy firms.
Daily fantasy sports as Ontarians know it are about to be disrupted because OSB may fare better in the province’s new online gambling market than DFS does.
FanDuel, a daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator and bookmaker, has announced that as of April 1 it will no longer be able to provide free or paid DFS contests in Ontario “due to a change in government regulations.” FanDuel also said that games played prior to April 1 would proceed normally and that any prizes would be withdrawable.
The deadline is just a few days before a new online casino and sports betting market in Ontario launches on April 4. As of Monday morning, FanDuel was one of more than a dozen operators ready to enter that market.
According to a FanDuel support article, “Ontario residents can participate in daily fantasy contests while physically located in other provinces and within US states where daily fantasy is allowed.” Additionally, starting on April 4th, residents of Ontario will be able to use the FanDuel Sportsbook and Casino products that are launching in Ontario.
The primary rival of FanDuel, DraftKings, also intends to introduce online sports betting (OSB) in Ontario the following month. A message from the customer support team at DraftKings states that shortly before that, the company will stop offering DFS in the province.
The message read, “Customers physically located in Ontario will not be eligible to play in paid or free Daily Fantasy Sports contests upon our sports betting and iGaming launch.” But if you’re in another Canadian province or a U. S. state, you can still play on DraftKings as usual.
According to the website for DraftKings, its online casino and sportsbook will open in Ontario in April. Up until just before that time, customers in the province will be able to participate in the company’s DFS tournaments.
Payment Methods Accepted at DFS Sites
You can use a wide variety of payment options when you play on any of the bigger DFS sites. Before we get into what you can expect, it’s important to note that all sites have their own unique features. However, you can find a detailed overview of each DFS betting site on our review page.
The two most common are going to be Visa and Mastercard transactions. Given that most of us have access to one or both cards, it makes it highly accessible. You tend to not get any fees attached from the DFS site and you’re also able to withdraw back to these payments’ methods.
A lot of DFS websites accept Discover and American Express in addition to other well-known credit cards. Although they are less common than Visa or Mastercard, most websites will still make it simple for you to use them. It is important to check for American Express fees because they can occasionally be one of the drawbacks of using this payment method.
E-wallets are one of our favorite payment methods as you’re able to hook these up to your DFS account without having to use your credit or debit card. They also tend to process transactions, especially withdrawals, very quickly and we’re seeing more sites than ever use one or more of these.
PayPal, Neteller, and Skrill are common choices. Again, it’s uncommon to see a feed associated with any of these payment options, but we did notice that, particularly with Skrill, if your account is not initially set up in USD, you may incur exorbitant currency conversion fees.
Another method of transferring funds on DFS sites is via bank wire, but the majority only allow withdrawals. This is occasionally an option if you want to deposit large sums of money, but you’ll probably need to consult with customer support to figure out where to send it.
Bank wire withdrawals are much more typical. This process allows you to generally withdraw any amount, but it may take some time for the money to reach your bank. Some websites suggest up to 28 days, which in our opinion is inadequate.
Finally, a lot of websites also typically accept checks as a withdrawal method. Similar to bank wires, they take a long time to send; once more, allow up to 28 days just to receive the check in your hands, never mind that it needs to clear your bank.

This week’s top daily fantasy golf picks for the 2022 RBC Canadian Open are likely to include Rory McIlroy. The event’s defending champion, Rory McIlroy, has finished in the top 10 in three of his last four PGA Tour outings. But when formulating their PGA DFS strategy for the RBC Canadian Open 2022, which begins on Thursday, June 9, daily fantasy golf players will need to determine if he can be trusted. McIlroy will need to perform well to prove his value because he is one of the most expensive golfers in the PGA DFS player pool on websites like DraftKings and FanDuel. Should McIlroy be a part of your 2022 RBC Canadian Open PGA DFS lineups? Or is it time to bench him in favor of players whose prices are considerably lower? PGA DFS picks for the RBC Canadian Open in 2022 Matthew Fitzpatrick is one of McClure’s top picks at $9,900 on DraftKings and $11,300 on FanDuel. Fitzpatrick is confident going into this week’s competition. This is due to the fact that the 27-year-old has already achieved six top-10 finishes this season, including T-5 or better finishes in two of his most recent three starts. In a number of significant statistical categories, such as strokes gained: tee-to-green (1. strokes gained: off the tee (611), (. 602) and gains in strokes: green-side (. 496). In terms of scoring average (69), he enters the 2022 RBC Canadian Open in fourth place. 508), making him this week’s most valuable PGA DFS asset. Additionally, Corey Conners should be rostered at $9,600 on DraftKings and $11,200 on FanDuel according to McClure’s ideal PGA DFS strategy. Conners has been playing well lately, despite the fact that he has yet to record a victory this year. Conners has actually had three T-13 or better finishes in his last five starts, including a T-6 at the Masters in April. Conners’ flawless iron play has allowed him to achieve those favorable outcomes, in large part. The 30-year-old Canadian currently holds the fourth-best percentage of greens in regulation (70). 18), allowing him to make 223 birdies this season. This week at St. George’s, lock him into your PGA DFS lineups and prepare for a significant payout. Lineup selections for DraftKings, FanDuel tournaments, and daily fantasy football cash games for the third week of the NFL
The third week of the 2022 NFL season has arrived, and the majority of serious fantasy football players believe they have everything under control. It is becoming simpler for NFL DFS players to identify valuable stacks and sleepers when constructing lineups for FanDuel and DraftKings competitions because, at the very least, we have a better understanding of which teams are good, bad, and in the middle. At least, that is what we believe at the moment. It’s still early in the season, so it’s critical to exercise some caution. Some of the two-game sample sizes that teams have are reliable, but it’s crucial to avoid overreacting to these stats when looking for stacking opportunities in daily fantasy football lineups. One of the most popular strategies among NFL DFS players is stacking. Why? Since they are on the same team, two players can score on the same play. This increases the ceiling of the lineup and presents opportunities for double points. Even if you stack RBs against defense, scoring is frequently correlated. There are a few different ways to approach stacking. WEEK 3 DFS: Top values You can choose to go with contrarian options that give you crucial lineup differentiation, or you can roll with elite players in elite offenses to raise the floor of your lineup. In DraftKings and FanDuel tournaments, it’s frequently a good idea to roll with more risky decisions, whereas choosing safer stacks is beneficial in cash games. The top DFS websites in the world continue to be DraftKings and FanDuel, but DraftKings offers more flexible pricing. This makes it slightly simpler to create inventive stacks, especially when going after less expensive receivers. On FanDuel, you can still stack; it’s just sometimes more difficult to find value when doing so. Here are some of our favorite team combinations for Week 3 lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. Top cash game stacks for DraftKings and FanDuel in Week 3 of the NFL: quarterback Matthew Stafford, wide receiver Cooper Kupp, and tight end Tyler Higbee, Rams at Cardinals (DK/FD stack). Stafford averaged 256. In three games last season against the Cardinals, he completed passes of at least 3 yards and two touchdowns. Kupp had a 7. 7 grabs for 82. 7 yards during those games, scoring twice. Despite only participating in two games, Higbee averaged five targets per match. Seen a pattern here yet? Yes, the Rams frequently score points against the Cardinals on offense. Since Los Angeles still has a better roster than Arizona does and Sean McVay has a 10-1 career record against the Cardinals, this trend should continue into 2022. In light of this, it is reasonable to assume that he will have a solid game plan in place for his best offensive players at each position. Raiders at Titans: QB Derek Carr, WR Davante Adams, and TE Darren Waller (DK Stack)Carr and Adams struggled to connect against the Cardinals, but that was largely because of a strong performance from Arizona’s top cornerback Byron Murphy. There won’t be as much of a threat from the Titans. In Week 2, Tennessee was unable to contain Stefon Diggs. The seasoned receiver helped the Bills easily defeat the Titans by hauling in 12 passes for 148 yards and three touchdowns. Adams might be in a similar position to succeed, particularly if Tennessee’s best cornerback, Kristian Fulton (hamstring), keeps missing games. Waller, who has averaged five catches for 64 yards this season, caught his first season touchdown against the Cardinals, who have had trouble stopping tight ends thus far. 5 yards after two games. Although it’s possible that the Titans’ success against tight ends is more matchup-related than anything else. Although Las Vegas’ offense won’t be as powerful and explosive as the Bills’ on “Monday Night Football,” Carr, Adams, and Waller still appear to be solid plays this week. Look no further than this high-flying trio if you’re looking for high-floor options. Christian McCaffrey and the Carolina D/ST, Panthers vs. Saints (DK/FD Stack)Matt Rhule’s defense may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but they have been solid the first two weeks. They have only experienced significant difficulty when things suddenly change. 13 of the 45 points the Panthers have given up have resulted from three turnovers. They will be able to limit offenses more effectively than the statistics indicate if they can clean those up. Additionally, Carolina might force some turnovers like the Buccaneers did against the Saints last week, given that Jameis Winston is dealing with four fractured vertebrae in his back. McCaffrey is a wise choice if you’re sticking with the Panthers’ defense. The Saints typically have a strong run defense, but they have started this year in the middle of the pack. McCaffrey can still cause havoc as a receiver even if they manage to contain him, as they have in previous seasons, as he demonstrated by amassing 65 yards on five catches in his lone game against the Saints last year. QB Marcus Mariota, WR Drake London, and TE Kyle Pitts, Falcons at Seahawks (DK/FD Stack), Week 3 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: Best stacks for daily fantasy football competitionsThe Falcons aren’t the most exciting team in the NFL, but they have a good matchup this week against the Seahawks. Seattle’s defense has occasionally performed admirably this year, but it’s important to remember that they are one of nine NFL teams allowing more than 400 yards per game so far. Atlanta can benefit from this. Despite the Falcons’ lack of offensive firepower, Mariota has a high floor because of his excellent scrambling ability. Through two games, London has 19 targets and is averaging 18. This season, 5 DraftKings fantasy points per game. Pitts hasn’t been effective in the meantime, but last week the Seahawks only allowed Ross Dwelley to find open space for a 38-yard touchdown. If everything goes as planned, Pitts might have a similar breakaway play. Despite this being such a favorable matchup, all of Atlanta’s stars are relatively affordable. Additionally, the Falcons have scored at least 26 points in each game, so if they do the same against the Seahawks, Mariota and company should have a good day against Seattle’s inexperienced secondary. QB Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia D/ST, Eagles at Commanders (DK/FD Stack)A quarterback and a defense may seem like an odd combination, but it makes for a solid contrarian stack to help you stand out in your lineup in Week 3. Through two weeks, Hurts has been a dynamic playmaker for the Eagles, and a large part of that is due to his prowess with the running game. He trails only Miles Sanders on the Eagles in both rushes (28) and rushing yards (147). Hurts has produced three touchdowns on the ground, making him the greater threat in the red zone. In Week 3, against a Commanders defense that has occasionally been vulnerable in 2022, Hurts should be asked to assist the run game once more. He has a high floor as a result, and a high upside as a result of his passing ability. Like Hurts, the Eagles defense is in a precarious situation. Although the Commanders’ offense isn’t terrible, quarterback Carson Wentz frequently makes costly mistakes and was just strip-sacked for a safety last week. That was against the Lions; Wentz should find it much more difficult to overcome the Eagles. Green Bay D/ST, Packers vs. Buccaneers (DK Stack), RB Aaron Jones, RB AJ DillonLast week, we chose a two-RB stack that included the Patriots. We’ll do it this week with the Packers in an environment that appears to be much more promising. Jones and Dillon are the only running backs the Packers use, so by starting them, we are essentially guaranteed to get all of the team’s rushing output. That would have resulted in 35 DK points for Jones and 7 last week. For Dillon, a 7. Yes, having two backs on the same team can lower the potential of a DFS lineup. However, if you can complete your lineup with high-potential wideouts, this can actually be a great way to differentiate your lineup for tournament play. You will be among the select few who profit from playing both if both players perform well because the majority will avoid it. For these two, the Packers D/ST may appear to be a risky pairing, but on “Sunday Night Football,” the stop-unit performed admirably against the Bears. Tom Brady will likely be without the left side of his offensive line and three of his top four receivers, which may not mean much in his favor. If that occurs, the Buccaneers won’t be able to move the ball, which was a problem in their first two victories.

DFS Guide – How to Play Daily Fantasy Sports
The simplicity with which DFS can be played is just one of the many factors contributing to its popularity. Because it’s so simple to use and most people have already participated in fantasy sports of some kind before DFS, many new players are already familiar with the procedure.
The first step is to open an account. On this page, you can find our picks for the top daily fantasy sports betting sites. After that, you can look at the sites with the top DFS discount coupons.
The selection of your team comes next. Depending on the competition you enter, most will require you to select multiple players for your draft. Afterward, each draft participant receives points based on how well they play the game.
The player whose team has scored the most points at the end of the game is declared the winner. The number of participants in the competition will determine how many spots are paid.
A DFS loss, a sports-betting gain
The loss of DFS options in Ontario could come as new avenues for internet-based gambling open up.
When the province’s iGaming market opens on April 4, private-sector operators of online casinos and sportsbooks will be able to offer their games in the province legally. The government-owned Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. is the only organization capable of doing so at the moment.
Because of Ontario’s sizable population and its plans to permit both online sports betting and casino gambling, at least 30 operators have expressed interest in entering the new market. Additionally, Ontario is the only province in Canada that has announced such a move.
Sports betting will start in one week. Later today, I have a crucial message about maximizing bonuses that bettors in the province won’t want to miss.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario had granted 15 non-OLG companies an iGaming operator registration as of Monday morning, which is a crucial authorization required to participate in the framework of the province.
According to the website for iGaming Ontario, “to complete these steps, these organizations will have met rigorous standards of game integrity, fairness, player protections, and social responsibility.” Their websites will have safeguards against access by minors and initiatives to promote more responsible gambling. They have signed contracts that guarantee adherence to all applicable laws, including anti-money laundering laws.

An illiquid situation
There are two main issues with DFS in Ontario, Canada’s most populous province, according to Paul Burns, president and chief executive officer of the Canadian Gaming Association.
The other, more serious problem, according to Burns, is that the province’s new, regulated market does not permit “liquidity.” This represents a shift from the current market, which the province does not regulate.
However, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) claims that bringing sites that already provide gambling to Ontarians under provincial regulation is a major goal of the province’s new iGaming market. According to the authority, “pay-to-play” fantasy sports are regarded as a form of gambling in Ontario and will be permitted by the AGCO’s iGaming standards.
The RBC Canadian Open
Make the most of the information, forecasts, and insights from this article to assist with your fantasy golf selections for the RBC Canadian Open, and visit our PGA Optimizer to choose players for your DFS lineups with more knowledge. All the best to you!
The PGA Tour hasn’t played in the RBC Canadian Open for three very long years, so the host nation of Canada is overjoyed to see it return! One of the oldest golf competitions on the PGA Tour, this event first took place in 1904. This competition has been held seven times at George’s Golf and Country Club, the first time in 1933 and the most recent time in 2010. This week’s field appears to be strong; the best we’ve seen at St. George’s is -19, but the record at the Canadian Open is -25, set in 1952. Rory McIlroy won the 2019 Canadian Open, Dustin Johnson won in 2018, Jhonattan Vegas won in 2017, Jhonattan Vegas won in 2016, and Jason Day won in 2015.
Get in the money with more consistency in your PGA DFS contests and other sports leagues too including the MLB, by utilizing insightful player projections.
Tournament prize money: The $8 cash prize for this week’s competition. 7M, with $1 going to the winner. 566M and gains 500 FedEx Cup points in addition.
St. George’s Golf and Country Club is only 7,014 yards long, has a par of 70, and uses poa annua for its greens. Players haven’t played in this tournament in 12 years, so none of the winning scores from the previous ten years include St. George’s. Instead, they range from -16 to -23. This week, roughly -20 is what you can anticipate. This week, it’s important to pay attention to the statistics for strokes gained: approach, strokes gained: off the tee, par 3s gained by more than 200 yards, and par 4s gained by 450–500 yards.
The field includes a total of 156 players, and after round 2 the top 65 players, plus ties, will be given the privilege of playing the weekend rounds. Many talented golfers, including Corey Conners, Cam Smith, Justin Thomas, Sam Burns, Rory McIlroy, the number one golfer in the world Scottie Scheffler, and many others, are about to tee off. I rate the field strength as a B on a scale from A to D.
Three questions I have about the RBC Canadian Open
How much will this week’s events surrounding the LIV Golf be discussed? It’s unfortunate that Dustin Johnson withdrew from the Canadian Open this week in order to attend the LIV Golf competition in Europe and increase his bank account. He will be playing in the inaugural LIV tournament overseas along with regular PGA Tour players Kevin Na, Louis Oosthuizen, Talor Gooch, and others. I hope the event in Toronto this week doesn’t suffer from poor timing with the Canadian Open.
Can McIlroy keep the title? Can Rory defend the Canadian Open on a different course and three years later? I have no doubt that the Irishman can succeed this week. His ball-striking will undoubtedly improve, and if his putting improves as well, he could very well be raising the trophy on Sunday.
Which 10 players have been best on approach over the last 24 rounds? This is always such an important stat to focus on – the best recently in this stat category are Cameron Smith, Scottie Scheffler, Harold Varner III, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Sam Burns, Corey Conners, C. Pan, Scott Gutschewski, and J. Spaun.
This week’s DraftKings lineup construction strategy: You can choose to go in any direction with your lineups because the entire field is on display this week and there is good depth throughout. Hybrid is probably the best option to get a nice balance of win equity and make the cut equity, but depending on the types of contests you’re looking at, I can see stars, scrubs, and balanced working well. Look at the projected ownership for Wednesday, try to keep the total combined ownership for each lineup at or below 80%, and leave a few hundred on the table if you want to win a large GPP outright.
Here are my 15 DFS golf picks, which include my top 3 players from each tier on DraftKings (DK) in no particular order, as well as player salaries for DK. Best of luck on your quest to win or at least be in the money in some contests this week. For each of my picks, I consistently include their most recent and seasonal finishes, their performances at the competition over the previous five years, and some savory bits of information.
The $10K+ Range
Rory McIlroy is paid $10 by DraftKings. 5K) – It’s difficult to predict what will happen this week because PGA Tour professionals haven’t played on this course in more than a decade, but McIlroy is expected to play exceptionally well this week because of his strong ball-striking and improvement with his short game in four straight starts. He has finished in the top 18 four times in a row, three of them in the top 8, including a second-place finish at The Masters four starts ago. Results of the Canadian Open over the previous five years: 2019 – Won.
Scottie Scheffler (DraftKings salary: $11) 1K) – The number one player in the world recently finished second at the Charles Schwab Challenge, losing to Sam Burns in a playoff, but he gained strokes on all fronts, including 9. 60 balls struck. In his last ten starts, he has four victories, including two in his last six. He excels in every aspect of his game and ought to dominate this week’s leaderboard. In the past five years, there have been no Canadian Open victories.
Sam Burns (DraftKings salary: $10. 0K) – He has two victories in his last six starts, along with two missed cuts and finishes of 20th and runner-up. He is somewhat of a boom or bust player. He is therefore more boom than bust, and I enjoy using him because he is a great putter and ball striker. In the past five years, there have been no Canadian Open victories.
The $9K Range
Harold Varner III is paid $9 by DraftKings. 7K) – He’s a great approach player who typically succeeds with his short game, making him a reliable player who occasionally goes unnoticed. In his last four starts, he finished in the top two twice. In his last eight starts, he finished in the top 27 six times, including a T6 at THE PLAYERS Championship, where he earned eight points. 11 swings at the ball. 2019 came in at T35, 2018 at T17, and 2017 at T23 for the Canadian Open.
Corey Conners (DraftKings salary: $9. 6K) – For whatever reason, Conners hasn’t performed well on Canadian soil, but he’s much improved from three years ago, and I anticipate a strong performance from Conners this week. In his last seven starts, he has finished in the top 13 four times, including sixth at The Masters, where he improved across the board by eight strokes, and T13 at the Memorial Tournament, where he improved by eight strokes. 12 and 10 when approaching. 24 balls-in-play. I’ll down a pint of maple syrup if he doesn’t place at least in the top 20 this week! 2019 and 2018 were the last five years’ Canadian Open results: cuts.
Matt Fitzpatrick is paid $9 by DraftKings. 9K) – He consistently finishes in the top 10 and top 20 since last Fall and is a strong player throughout his entire bag. He lost 7, but he failed to make the cut in his most recent start at the Memorial Tournament last week. His worst career green performance was 57 strokes putting. He had placed fifth and second before that, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he finished in the top five again this week. In the past five years, there have been no Canadian Open victories.
The $8K Range
Pan (DraftKings salary: $8. 1K) – Since late February, he has made the cut just once in his last eleven starts, which span a nine-start streak during which he has improved his approach strokes and finished anywhere from T15 to T53. He should have a respectable week’s performance as long as his approach game holds up, which I don’t see why it wouldn’t. 2017 came in at T14 in the last five Canadian Open results.
Mackenzie Hughes (DraftKings salary: $8. 4K) – He has performed admirably while playing for Canada, primarily due to his strong short game. Although he doesn’t strike the ball well, I believe this week he will be solid on the green and with the flat stick to pull off a respectable finish on Sunday. 2019 came in at T14, 2018 at T8, and 2017 at T32 for the Canadian Open.
Jhonattan Vegas (DraftKings salary: $8. In spite of injury issues and surgery, Vegas won the Canadian Open in 2016 and 2017. This year, she has also played reasonably well. He finished T37 at the Memorial Tournament the previous week, and once his putter is back on track, he should start posting top 20 finishes again fairly frequently. The last five years’ Canadian Open results are as follows: 2018 (T29) and 2017 (Won).
The $7K Range
Pat Perez (DraftKings salary: $7. 6K) – He has made five consecutive cuts and has only missed a weekend start in his last ten starts, so he should be able to help you out this week in terms of fantasy points in all four rounds. He has good approach skills, is excellent around the green, and has a hit-or-miss green game, but when he is on, it’s like two starts ago when he gained 5. To place T12 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, it took 93 strokes. In the past five years, there have been no Canadian Open victories.
Austin Smotherman is paid $7 by DraftKings. 5K) – He has gained strokes in his last nine measured events and is a really good ball-striker, but his short game on the greens is what prevents him from winning. He has two top 25 finishes in his last three starts, and if his short game is slightly above average this week, he might add another one. In the past five years, there have been no Canadian Open victories.
Aaron Rai (DraftKings salary: $7. 9K) – He gained 8 pounds and finished 26th in his most recent race. 21 with his putter at the Memorial, and he typically hits the ball fairly well. He poses a risk, but if he has one more week of excellent putting, a top-20 finish is not out of the question. In the past five years, there have been no Canadian Open victories.
The $6K Range
Adam Schenk (DraftKings salary: $6. 9K) – I like that Schenk, who gained 9 since late March, has had two top-9 finishes and is coming off a T26 at the Memorial. 28 swings at the ball. His stats and results are a little erratic, but he can pop, and you want that from a $6K player, especially if you’re going for big money in the big GPPs. 2019 came in at T56 and 2018 at T22 in the last five years at the Canadian Open.
Bill Haas (DraftKings salary: $6. 8K) – His ball-striking statistics are completely useless, but he excels at the short game and has only missed one cut in his last eleven starts. His best performance during that time period came in his most recent start at the Charles Schwab Challenge, where he placed T27 and nearly gained strokes in every category with the exception of a modest 0. Loss on approach of 97. 2019 and 2018 were the last five years’ Canadian Open results: cuts.

Where is DFS Legal?
One of the easiest types of online gaming to access in the US is DFS. Only seven states, including the following, outright prohibit daily fantasy sports:
The other 43 states either have DFS betting explicitly legalized or have made it clear that it is legal for residents of those states to sign up for and play on DFS sites.
D FS is widely available due, in part, to the fact that it is not regarded as gambling in the traditional sense. To be honest, it’s a bit complicated, but the main point is that DFS is not viewed as a game of chance like a casino. To select your players and then triumph in your competition, you must have skill.
It differs from sports betting because you place a wager at odds set by a bookmaker, which in turn involves a gamble on the outcome of the wager. With DFS, you compete against other players in a pooled wagering environment. Making the best picks for that contest requires skill if you want to win.
Given that Nevada, or at least Las Vegas in Nevada, is widely regarded as the world’s gambling capital, it is quite ironic to see that it is one of the states that forbids DFS. It’s unclear whether these conditions will change anytime soon, but even if they do, the industry is in a really good accessibility position.
Where Can You Play the Top DFS Sites?
DraftKings and FanDuel are the top DFS sites that we consider when discussing them. Although popular, Monkey Knife Fight and PrizePicks are not yet up to these kinds of standards.
The variety of states that each site currently accepts players from distinguishes the group and supports our claim. All 43 states where daily fantasy sports are currently legal have allowed both DraftKings and FanDuel to open offices there. MKF and PrizePicks each have about 25.
At this point, it’s important to note that accessibility for DFS and sports betting are two entirely different things. Just because you can access one doesn’t mean you can access the other for websites like DraftKings that operate both.
For instance, they operate in 43 states when it comes to DFS, but you can only use them for sports betting in 12 states. Sports betting and DFs have very different rules and regulations that should not be confused with one another.
Let’s examine each daily fantasy sports website and the locations where it is currently available.
As previously mentioned, all 43 states that currently allow players to participate in daily fantasy sports can play DraftKings. The seven states where DraftKings daily fantasy sports is currently illegal are listed below:
With respect to operating in 43 US states, FanDuel and DraftKings are equivalent. The following 7 states do not allow FanDuel to operate:
Monkey Knife Fight
Monkey Knife Fight is a little harder to access than the previous two, but it’s still possible in 30 US states. These are the states:
In terms of legal states, PrizePicks is a little lower still than Monkey Knife Fight. These states consist of:

Best Daily Fantasy Betting Sites Reviewed
Our reviews are something we take great pride in at Basketball Insiders. We were able to put together a team that can test these DFS websites to their absolute limits. Then, we inform you, our readers, of the results.
We have ranked the daily fantasy sports websites in the list below according to how well they perform overall. We’ve designed each review to highlight everything that they’re good at as well as what they’re not so good at because this is not a one-size-fits-all process.
We wouldn’t expect any DFS site to be perfect, and none are.
We’ve listed the top daily fantasy sports betting sites for each of the sites listed below. You are welcome to take our rankings as gospel or spend some time reading more to determine which is most appropriate for you.
1) DraftKings – Best Overall
The top daily fantasy sports betting site is DraftKings. They might have the biggest name in the business, but there’s a good reason for that. They simply appear to be much bigger and more well-rounded than some of their main rivals.
We appreciate the variety of competitions that DraftKings offers. They cover a wide range of sports, and they are unbeatable when it comes to DFS NBA, of course.
The site is incredibly large. With over 60,000 participants in their contests, they frequently have prize pools that reach the hundreds of thousands of dollars mark. If you’re fortunate enough to win, payouts can drastically alter your life.
The site’s size, though, can also be detrimental. Although it earns enormous sums of money, competing against 60,000 people might be a little intimidating.
However, they do have smaller competitions that you can enter, some of which have as few as 20 participants, which is much more manageable for the majority of DFS players.

Things feel new because of what DraftKings does better than anyone else. Ten more competitions open as one closes. They cover a wide variety of sports, including eSports. One of the reasons we gave them the top spot is because they completely dominate the competition when it comes to eSports coverage.
To top it all off, there are a ton of promotions, a respectable welcome offer, tons of rewards for loyal players, a ridiculous selection of sports, bonuses, jackpots, the ability to create your own contest for you and your friends, leagues, fantastic socials, and a fantastic customer service team.

2) FanDuel – Best for NBA Contests
FanDuel pushes DraftKings a very close second. In fact, as we’ve reviewed the two sites independently and then compare them for these mini-reviews, it’s a close call between the two of them.
They do everything you need on a DFS site, and more. For us, their coverage in basketball is second to none, and we recognize that most of you will want to use this sport more than any other.
Their competitions are really well covered. But the basketball section’s non-exclusive focus on the NBA is what really stands out. They provide extensive coverage of women’s basketball and international leagues, particularly those from Europe. The Olympics are about to begin as we write this review, and the coverage of them has been, to put it mildly, impressive.
FanDuel has the best-looking platform for DFS as well. Its white and blue corporate colours make it look clean and modern. You can use several menus that scatter throughout the site and they also highlight progress on bonuses or rewards that you’ve currently got linked to your account.

It’s not perfect, though, and one of the reasons DraftKings won the race was because they couldn’t compete with the sheer number of contests that were going on. They aren’t as big, despite the fact that you could make a strong case for quality over quantity in this situation.
They are also unable to compete with the variety of promotions offered. Their $50 welcome bonus is somewhat meager, and the variety of existing player promotions quickly becomes stale.
You’d love FanDuel, though, if you ended up there without ever having heard of DraftKings. It has excellent design and huge jackpots. They don’t have that sheen finish, but in our opinion they are still diamonds.

3) Monkey Knife Fight – Best for Ease of Use
Compared to the first two DFS websites, Monkey Knife Fight is newer and offers a slightly more compressed atmosphere. We’re not sure it’s accurate to describe MKF as a “stripped back” DFS site, but they do make things simpler to use and navigate.
Don’t assume that they haven’t created as many contests because they are lazy or don’t care. Their entire ethos revolves around making DFS betting much simpler and offering fewer, but more enjoyable, options.
Let’s face it, there is a lot going on when you visit either DraftKings or FanDuel. This may be confusing if you’re new to DFS. MKF has simplified their website so that it is user-friendly for all players by clearing out all the clutter and condensing the contests they run.

When it comes to promotions, the website is excellent. As an existing player, you have access to a sizable number, and new players also receive a tempting $100 bonus. We rank it as one of the top daily fantasy betting sites available right now because it is one of those sites that just keeps slapping you with promotions.
Even though the ease of use is as good as it gets, you can’t help but feel the site is a little limited if you’re someone looking for a diverse range of contests. They also don’t have adjoining sportsbooks or casinos, which does limit the package on offers somewhat.

Best DFS Sites in America – Comparison
We spent a lot of time comparing various aspects of each site to determine which functioned best within each industry in order to find the best in the business. We’ve included a table of our results below, but before we do, we wanted to walk you through the criteria we used to determine which daily fantasy sports betting site we believe to be the best.
We began by looking at the variety of sports available. We considered the number of sports and the types of audiences that each sport catered to.
For instance, all websites will include NBA games in their giveaways, but who will also include basketball played by women or in Europe?
The topic of competitions that are not related to sports was our next goal. The majority of this is made up of eSports and online gaming, but there are some unexpected twists like TV shows and even award shows that you can run competitions for.
The next step was to determine the number of contests available, which simply involved counting the number of active contests. We considered whether any sites were running identical contests for a lower buy-in, which is an excellent addition, and we looked at the numbers to see the depth.
The number of contests within a given category was the focus of the next item on the list, which was contest depth. Golf was a fantastic sport to test this in because we could focus on a single PGA Tour event and then observe how many competitions were organized around that particular event.
However, we’ve also taken into account other sports besides golf, so as a result, we have a better overall picture.
Prize money and prize pools are the two last subsections. The potential winnings are always going to be a huge draw. Even though it’s possible to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to enter a tournament, are these always the best deals?
Each daily fantasy sports website received a score out of 10 for each category. As sites develop and adapt, these figures may change.

Best DFS Betting Apps
The transition to mobile has been gradual for DFS sites, and the top daily fantasy sportsbooks all have a mobile app you can download. Since we tested them all, we can honestly say that they are all excellent, and we have enjoyed using mobile apps just as much as the desktop websites.
FanDuel deserves the title of “best DFS betting app,” in our opinion. The app is unbeatable in terms of functionality and has a stunning visual appeal. You can easily transition between sports and competitions, and their ultra-clean design makes it a pleasure to use.
Having said that, every app we’ve tested for daily fantasy sports betting has been effective. The current level of quality demonstrates just how deeply mobile has permeated this industry.
Below we’ve included a table of mobile v desktop:
Mobile – Best forDesktop – Best for DFS on the goBigger screen, more info in one place Compact layout, with less clutter than the main siteEasier to register and verify accounts Easier to accessNo need to download another app Usually, betting looking given they are more modernTakes up no room on the computer in terms of data Mobile-specific DFS promosCan use VPN for access in restricted states
How to Sign Up for a DFS Site
It shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to create an account on a DFS website. You must ensure that all of your information is accurate because it has been designed to get you into the account as quickly as possible.
The first thing to keep in mind is that you can register on the DFS mobile website or the online platform. The account is compatible with both because they are both the same product.
We want to emphasize how important it is for you to double-check all of your information. You will eventually need to verify your account because a DFS sites license now demands it. These checks are common, and you might be asked to show identification or proof of residency such as a driver’s license or even a passport. You run the risk of having your account suspended, or worse, closed, if you can’t verify this information.
Anyone and everyone can easily create an account. The steps you must take with DraftKings, our pick for the best daily fantasy site, are listed below. Although each site has a different procedure, they won’t deviate much from what is shown below:
Username and Email
You require access to the email address. Before your account opens, you must obtain the initial activation email that DraftKings will send to you in order to confirm your account. You will eventually need that email address for verification even though not all DFS sites use this procedure.
Country and DOB
It’s time to select the state and the nation in which you currently reside. Although the majority of you who are reading this will be Americans, it’s important to note that most DFS sites welcome players from around the world.
The next step asks for your date of birth, and most websites demand that users be at least 18 years old. The minimum age ranges from 19 to 21 in some states. These were discussed earlier in the article.
Before you sign up, you must enter the DFS discount code that we have given to each website. While some websites will ask you to provide this information after your account has been set up and you are making your first deposit, DraftKings specifically requests it during the registration process.
You will eventually need to confirm your account. The majority of DFS websites give you the option to verify at any time after your account has been set up. Before you make your first withdrawal, you will be questioned if you haven’t already.
Verify your account as soon as you can, is our advice. Once this is finished, it is out of the way, allowing you to withdraw your funds immediately.
Who Can Play DFS in America?
One of the many reasons DFS is well-liked is that it is very easy to access all over the US. In just 7 out of the 50 states, the two major brands DraftKings and Fanduel are not available.
Who can participate in DFS in America? is listed below:
Who in America Can Play DFS?
- Aged 18 and over for most states
- Some states will require you to be aged 19+ or 21+, but this is rare
- Must be a resident within a state that allows DFS from that brand
- Must be able to verify address and age to withdraw money
- Must not have duplicate accounts on a single site
- Must not be banned from sports betting, DFS or any of the online DFS sites
Update on Daily Fantasy Sports Canada
The introduction of legal sports betting in the biggest province in Canada might not have lived up to everyone’s expectations after all. Two days before April Fourth, Fanduel announced its DFS withdrawal from Ontario, citing high fees and taxes on operators of fantasy sports. DFS providers must pay a regulation fee of $100,000 and an additional 25% tax, according to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), in order to be permitted to operate in Ontario.
Contrasting these costs with those in the US, where fantasy sports operators pay just under half as much. Therefore, offering the same service to Ontarians would not be financially viable. Due to this, Fanduel and Draftkings will no longer offer fantasy gaming services to Ontarians in the near future.
The good news is that Ontarians can still access Fanduel’s daily fantasy sports Canada service outside of their home province, including in the US, and make bets. The high fees, which the Fantasy Sports and Gaming Association claims are unaffordable for almost all operators, have drawn their ire. Ontarians can maintain hope that the situation with daily fantasy sports Canada will be resolved soon because the association has promised to resolve the issue with the Ontario government.
Best DFS Bonuses
Since the best daily fantasy sports betting sites are designed in this manner, DFS bonuses are essential in determining which site is best for you. Nowadays, it’s rare to get something for nothing, so whenever the opportunity arises to receive a reward for playing games that you would have otherwise played anyway, you must seize it.
As existing player promotions are frequently where the real value is, we wanted to start by talking to you about some of them before moving on to the DFS welcome bonuses.
Depending on the website you’ve registered with, you can receive a variety of DFS bonuses as an existing player. A reward bonus that gives you money the more you play is what you should ideally see. All of these promotions—some of which go by the names VIP or points—allow you to accumulate rewards as you participate in more competitions.
The best of these offers will let you convert these points to cash, but bonus money is a good fallback if that’s not an option. You should also be able to win additional prizes from these categories, such as electronics, free bets, additional bonuses, VIP rewards, tickets to important sporting events, etc.
Even though it’s not necessarily a DFS bonus, you should also focus on any website that has guaranteed prize pools. Here, bigger is better, and the majority of the top websites will offer enormous prizes that frequently exceed seven figures.
A few of the DFS bonuses you should be on the lookout for are listed below:
Type of BonusValueAvailability (1 = low availability, 10 = high availability) VIP105 Guaranteed Prize Pools810 Frequent Play Points85 No Deposit Bonus56 Sports Promos79 Tiered Betting94 Daily Rewards77
You should also be looking at the top DFS welcome bonuses in addition to the thrilling player bonuses. To learn more about specific offers, read one of our DFS promo code articles since we go into great detail about them there.
The welcome offer typically accommodates the majority of players. By this, we mean that the majority of DFS players can utilize the welcome offer and at least clear a portion of it.
You must exercise caution when accepting any offer, regardless of its type. Even though they might have a similar appearance, deposit matches can operate very differently from the majority of them.
You must note the T’s and C’s with any bonus, but especially that of a DFS welcome bonus. Key things to note include:
- Amount of bonus on offer
- Percentage match of initial deposit
- How much do you need to wager to clear the bonus
- How long you must clear the bonus before it expires
- Which games are eligible to clear the bonus?

Finding the best daily fantasy betting sites these days is difficult due to the high standard of DFS sites. There isn’t much about any of the sites that we dislike; they are all deserving of mention.
Choosing between DraftKings and FanDuel will likely come down to personal preference, but both are unquestionably among our top DFS betting sites. They are the biggest and currently no one can compete with their selection of promotions and contests.
Splitting between the two is hard and to be honest, this is going to come down to personal preference. What we do know is that, whichever you chose, you won’t regret either.
