Last Vegas Slot Review: MicroGaming

It’s difficult to pinpoint what is strange about a zombie apocalypse in Las Vegas. On the one hand, you are welcome to take any large denomination chips that are lying around. However, they are now useless, so they are useless!

Based on this scenario, MicroGaming produced a fantastic slot. You have the option of playing as either the survivors or the zombies. Both games feature ruined casinos with shattered tables and flickering, dead slots.

It’s not just graphics and atmosphere in this slot. There are some amusing elements. Watch out for the bonus spins because the reels may get sick. In the base game, you will likewise receive random rewards. Blackouts, which occur after losing spins, as well as a Zombie fist of money for instant wins are also available.

Take advantage of 32Red’s free £10 or €10 offer for new players only. No card number or deposit is required. Enjoy Lost Vegas and a variety of other MicroGaming slots.

Who knows, you might be able to turn that £10 into a sizable bankroll to book a flight to Las Vegas!

2 Modes, 5 Reels and All-Ways Wins: How the Lost Vegas Slot Works

The reel grid is the standard 5×3 configuration regardless of the mode you choose to play in. With 243 winning combinations crossing over from the left, this is an all-ways slot machine. Bets are placed in 30c increments. Like all online slots from MicroGaming, you can place extremely high bets! There is also an auto-play option available.

Using a button above the reels, you can change the game’s mode between Survivor and Zombie. To the right of the slot title is where you’ll find this. This button will change the background when you press it. For zombies, this is the street outside of the closed casinos; for survivors, it is the inside of a casino.

Regular Winning Combinations

There are many ways to get regular line wins before I get to the fun features. Keep in mind that with all-ways slots, your biggest payouts will come from multiple wins on a single spin.

The biggest prize is in Lost Vegas wilds. These are logos that can be used to increase wins by substituting for any regular (but not bonus) symbol. You will receive 10 times your wager if you get 5 in a row on any of the 243 win-lines.

Depending on the mode you are playing in, the next-best symbols will change. The larger wins for the zombies are provided by a few great symbols. A zombie Elvis, a zombie showgirl, a couple, a nurse, and a zombie dressed like a mobster in a hat are placed on top of these.

All the valuable symbols are people to the survivors. Three men and two women are holding weapons, including a golf club in addition to the usual guns. For both games, playing card symbols are used to break up the detailed graphics.

Blackout Bonus and Zombie Fist of Cash

In the base game, there are two distinct bonus games that may appear at random. These can occur following any unsuccessful spin.

Crackling noises and a screen going black are heard before blackout bonuses. Both zombie and survivor modes are susceptible to this. The high paying symbols that are visible will each award a cash prize if it does happen. Additionally, the free spins can now be started with just one scatter symbol.

I’m reminded of the Incredible Hulk by the zombie cash fist. A huge fist that is holding money appears here from the screen.

Free Spins Bonus Games (One for Each Mode)

The free spins are divided in accordance with the two modes and themes. By landing three or more of the unique scatter symbols, which are required to access both of these bonus games.

There is an “infected reels” feature during the free spins if you are rooting for the zombies. There is no countdown to the free spins, unlike other slots. Instead, the reels are stacked with zombies, which can result in some significant wins. It gets infected every time you see a reel with only one zombie on it. That reel is circled in red, but it continues to spin and display various symbols as usual. You’ll keep getting free spins until all five of the reels have been contaminated. A maximum of 50 free spins may be used.

The survivors also grant you up to 50 additional free spins. The longer you play this game, the more money you’ll make. The removal of playing card (lower paying) symbols after each time they appear on the reels is the cause. The percentage of wilds and valuable symbols increases as you spin more. Your bonus will expire once all of the playing card symbols have vanished.

Detailed, Atmospheric Design

This game’s slow, piano-driven soundtrack perfectly complements the slightly eerie atmosphere. There is an unsettling (but welcome) guitar chord that plays when you score a victory. Although the graphics in the two modes are different, they are both impressive.

Survivor mode sees a broken craps table in the foreground, with flickering slots on the right-hand side and playing cards beneath the reels on the floor. The symbols show worried looking people, with some entertaining make-shift weapons.

My preference is for the zombies. Here the background is green, neon flickers in a scene that could be Fremont Street. You are outside, in a desolate post-apocalypse world. The zombies look great. Elvis stands out, as does the undead showgirl.

The bonus games and the zombie fist maintain the stunning visuals. Although the excellent graphics really do help elevate it to a new level, this slot is still playable enough.

Should You Choose Zombies, or Survivors?

Both modes of this game are fantastic, but in my opinion, the zombies have superior graphics, animations, and sound effects. An excellent remake of a slot with a Vegas theme is Lost Vegas. In comparison to the typical gambling symbols used on these games, it is a genuinely impressive change. This game offers plenty of opportunities for blackout and fist bonuses, up to 50 free spins in either mode, and the possibility for significant payouts.
